Lucebert, Thuis in Bergen
Lucebert was an incredibly versatile Dutch poet and artist. The Kranenburgh Museum in Bergen hosted a major retrospective of his work, aptly titled 'Thuis in Bergen' (At home in Bergen, Lucebert's hometown). We were asked to come up with a concept and design for the Jazz room, with jazz inspired works by Lucebert. We choose a black and white theme as a metaphor for the rhythmic base of jazz music. The colorful works of Lucebert act as the improvisational part of jazz.
